Conservation International

Conservation International once concentrated on conserving natural areas as intact relics of the earlier period. In 1987, all that transformed when several pioneers single-handedly specified conservation. Instead of being pegged as maintaining the places, Conservation International was designed as an operating model for the future in which humans live in concordance with nature. Conservation International created its future with the collaboration of key players. Over twenty years, they have empowered people in desserts and jungles to view conservation as a part of their lives. From early relationships with Starbucks and Patagonia to its ground breaking partnership with Wal-Mart, they worked with small and large companies to introduce conservation as part of their trade model.

Conservation International partners with local communities, businesses, universities, nonprofit organisations and governments to strengthen its conservation campaign and make the most of its collective capability to preserve the natural balance of the planet. In addition, operating with civic organisations and government leaders has allowed them to assist in the creation of vast areas of protected environments without interrupting the well being and livelihood of individuals who depend on the natural resources of their regions.

Governments of China and Costa Rica have collaborated with Conservation International to make conservation a centre part of their policies. All throughout this process, every action and strategy has been handled by innovative science. Meanwhile, Conservation International continues to create history, making the tools needed to protect and preserve nature for the coming next generations. Conservation International is passionate about nature and values life. They trust and respect one another and embrace the variety of their experiences and cultures.
