Smart for Life

A weight loss plan based upon eating cookies sounds like an appealing premise for many dieters. The Smart for Life franchise, via its home programme and medical weight loss centres, helps dieters shed pounds by using meal-replacement options, including cookies that help curb hunger. The Smart for Life programme was created by Dr. Sasson Moulavi, MD, a bariatric physician who worked as an emergency room and saw the number of heart attacks occurring among overweight individuals.

Dieters on the Smart for Life programme eat all natural and 60% organic Smart for Life products such as cookies, muffins, shakes, desserts, or soups six times a day. Participants in the Smart for Life plan are allowed to choose a dinner consisting of greens and 6-12 oz. of lean protein. Dieters generally consume from 800-1200 calories a day on this plan and many participants testimonials affirm that they were able to lose 10-15 pounds during the first month of this plan.

As with other diets that work using meal replacement options and caloric restriction, the most difficult part of the diet is when dieters transition to eating regular foods. To help dieters change the aspects of their life which have made a diet plan necessary, Smart for Life incorporates motivation instruction and education developed to help dieters overhaul their lifestyles. Once dieters reach their target weight, they transition to the maintenance phase of the plan in which they are encouraged to use the services of various health professionals involved in the Smart for Life plan until they feel secure in their abilities to manage their weight on their own.
