Gunfights are great movie moments. They add suspense, drama and lots of excitement to each scene. Heroes are made, bad guys are killed, and sometimes lies are brought out into the light.
10. Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
It didn’t involve any special effects or big budgets sets, it was simple, quick and to the point. The perfect gunfight.
9. Equilibrium
Christian Bale is the ultimate marksmen in this gunfight scene reminiscent of the Matrix.
8. Hard Boiled
A gunfight in a hospital, It really happens, and it happens here. Definitely worth a place in the top 10.
7. Heat
Michael Mann’s direction of the many gun totting scenes in this film is absolutely marvelous.
6. Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark
Gun versus sword, huh, Easy choice. One shot does the trick for Harrison Ford who of course, chooses to use the gun.
5. Robocop
The entire movie is one big gunfight! You really can’t get much better than that!
4. Saving Private Ryan
There is so much battling it’s hard to watch, and the gunfight scenes in this film are brutally honest looks at war.
3. Terminator
“I’ll be back,” and he sure does come back and with a massive weapon.

True suspense for a gunfight. The old West at its finest.
