Waikiki Beach: A Dream Destination

Many families dream of experiencing the bliss of Hawaii beaches. The most-visited island in Hawaii is Oahu with its popular Waikiki Beach as its highlight. Waikiki Beach is one of the most prominent stretches of sand around the world and is considered the heart and soul of Hawaii’s tourist industry.

This legendary tourist spot is located nine miles east of Honolulu Airport. Waikiki is a great place where one can canoe, swim, snorkel, and surf, and it is known for its warm, cloud-free climate. Tourists frequently visit the beach for its superb view of the volcano Diamond Head. Many surfers play all day off-shore, but they will become fascinated with the beach’s great waves, especially during windy days.

Waikiki Beach also offers fun activities that kids can truly enjoy. They can walk along the wide sidewalk of Kalakaua Avenue while eating their favourite ice cream flavour from the shops there. They can take a picture beside the statue of Duke Kahanamoku, the father of modern surfing. He was actually the one who revived the Hawaiian royalty’s primaeval sport. Then there is Moana Surfrider, a first-class hotel that faces a wonderful banyan tree that provides a relaxing atmosphere for the whole family while sipping tea. Kids can also play near the place. Another is in the busy street of Kalakoa Avenue which has an outdoor café that serves affordable foods made by the island chefs. At Kapahulu Pier, the beach seems like an outdoor movie house that offers free film showings on a giant screen.

With all its remarkable features, Waikiki Beach is indeed a dream destination for the entire family.
