Ye Olde Anchor Hotel

Location: Ruthin, Denbighshire

Ye Olde Anchor Hotel is an 18th century building located in the heart of 13th century Ruthin town centre, a picturesque and historic village. Surrounded with old Tudor buildings and narrow streets, it will leave you with lots of fond memories of your wedding day.

The hotel was built in 1742 and exudes all the charm and character you would expect from a building of this age. Complete with stone fireplaces and oak beams, Ye Olde Anchor Hotel is certainly the ideal venue for weddings. Despite its age the Anchor is thoroughly equipped with modern facilities which will cater for all your needs during your stay. All bedrooms are en-suite and feature a rustic style.

There is a large function room, capable of catering for a party of up to 100 guests and the hotel’s kitchen will be able to provide you with a meal worthy of the occasion. While you prepare for your big day your guests can occupy themselves walking around the quaint Ruthin streets or exploring the wilds of the Horseshoe pass not far away. Should guests require additional accommodation there are some excellent places to stay within the town itself.

Ruthin is in north Wales just inland from Conwy and north of Wrexham. The A494 from Chester takes you into the town centre or if you are travelling from the south, follow the A5 north. The airports of Liverpool and Manchester are within an hour’s travel or you can reach Ruthin by train.
