Abbey Clancy

Abigail Rose Clancy was born in Liverpool, England on the 10th January 1986.

As a teenager, she was a member of a girl band called Genie Queen and was managed by Andy McCluskey, a former member of the 80’s pop group Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark. Once, while on stage, Abbey’s top fell down leaving her covered only by a skimpy bikini and the girls were banned from the venue. Genie Queen went on to support the boy band Blue on tour but were unable to secure a record deal.

Abbey turned her attention to modelling and after appearing in the final of ‘Britain’s Next Top Model’ has successfully modelled lingerie for several companies, been photographed by and appeared in various men’s magazines, been interviewed on several top-rated television shows and been listed as high as 12 in several Most Sexy Women polls. She has also starred in her own reality television show, following her attempt to break into the modelling scene in the United States.

Abbey accompanied her boyfriend, footballer Peter Crouch, to the World Cup Finals in Germany in 2006 but returned home in disgrace after allegations of drug taking and infidelity. She admitted to taking cocaine during her girl band days but denied secretly dating an old lover.

Peter Crouch broke off their relationship, famously by fax, but the pair quickly reunited. During a summer holiday in Sardinia Crouch proposed and, although no date has been announced, the couple are planning a big wedding.

Abbey has confessed that a Peach Bellini is her favourite tipple.
