Ali Larter

Alison (Ali) Elizabeth Larter was born in Cherry Hill, New Jersey on 28th February 1976. She was formerly a fashion model but now is more popularly known as the actress portraying Jessica, Niki and Tracy in ‘Heroes’, an NBC sci-fi drama.

From the age of fourteen she travelled around the world modelling, and at seventeen she had settled in Japan. She moved to Los Angeles with a boyfriend but travelled to Australia when the relationship ended. When she returned to Los Angeles some time later she began taking acting lessons.

Ali played the fictional model Allegra Coleman created by Martha Sherrill for a hoax article in Esquire Magazine. The publicity stunt led to Ali’s first acting offer.

In 1997 Ali landed her first TV role in ‘Suddenly Susan’ and followed this up with parts in ‘Dawson’s Creek’, ‘Just Shoot Me’ and ‘Chicago Hope’. Her first film role came two years later in ‘Varsity Blues’, a commercial success which grossed $53 million in the United States.

Ali then starred in the teen horror film ‘Final Destination’ and comedy ‘Legally Blonde’, with Reese Witherspoon. In 2006, she landed a leading part in the award-winning TV sci-fi show ‘Heroes’, for which she was nominated as Best Supporting Actress at the 33rd Saturn Awards. The following year she was placed 6th in Maxim’s Hot 100.

She continues to land film roles and is keen to stretch her skills and expand her portfolio. In 2009, she married her boyfriend of seven years, actor Hayes MacArthur.
