Andrew Collinge

Andrew Collinge, one of the most adored figures in hair dressing today, introduced a distinctive way of hairstyling. His reputation in the styling world for great talent and enthusiasm for inventing new styles, combined with his high level of professionalism, have made him one of the most respected hairstylists around, especially for fusionists.

Andrew Collinge was awarded the British Hairdresser of the Year award twice, in 1993 and in 1997. Along with other famous hairdressers, he became an industry spokesperson who appeared regularly on TV and in magazines. Moreover, Andrew became the youngest president of the Fellowship for British Hairdressing and HABIA (the Hair and Beauty Industry Authority).

Andrew has launched nine salons, making his business progressive; and is also responsible for managing one of the biggest private hairdressing training establishments in the country. He has also created training centres and hairdressing universities that are under his name, such as the Academy of Hairdressing and the Harrods Makeover Studio.

Another hairstyle business innovation was launched in 1993 – the Andrew Collinge Salon Solutions – which has become one of the fastest developing designer lines in the UK. The growth of this business allowed Collinge to launch the new electrical hair-care range in 2001. Andrew Collinge now owns two training and two graduate salons, six Andrew Collinge salons and an academy located in the North West. The training division was under the management of Sarah Collinge, Andrew’s sister, and who has earned a reputation equal to her brother’s.
