Bay Tree Hotel

Oxfordshire
Situated in the pretty Cotswolds village of Burford, the Bay Tree Hotel dates back to the sixteenth century and was formerly the home of the Chief Baron of the Exchequer to Elizabeth I. This three star AA rated hotel has 21 bedrooms ranging from standard to master suite, all offering a flat screen TV and complimentary Moulton Brown toiletries.
The walled garden offers several opportunities for relaxing outdoors, while the patio, which is adjacent to the restaurant, is ideal for alfresco dining and guests can play a game of croquet on the lawn. It is a beautiful location for wedding photographs and the summerhouse is licensed for civil ceremonies, so weddings can be held outdoors in the summer months.
There is a dedicated wedding planner who can assist with all the details of the day and the hotel is able to accommodate anything from 12 to 80 guests. The Hawthorn Room can hold 12; while the Conservatory is suitable for gatherings of up to 60 and the Bay Tree Restaurant can seat 80. Minimum guest numbers apply on Fridays and Saturdays, but couples wishing to hold their wedding from Sunday to Thursday can take advantage of discounted rates.
An evening reception requires a commitment to exclusive use of the hotel and staff can assist with arranging either a DJ or a live band, as you prefer. Extensive menus for the wedding breakfast, evening buffets and canapés are available to choose from, catering for all tastes and dietary requirements.
