Cardiff Castle

Cardiff

Cardiff Castle is one of the premier wedding locations in Wales and being centrally located in the city’s heart, this iconic building is the perfect venue for your wedding ceremony and reception. There are a number of elegantly furnished rooms throughout the castle and the grounds make an excellent setting for those memorable wedding photos.

The ceremony can be held in the stone vaulted Undercroft, which comfortably holds up to 100 guests. Alternatively, for smaller parties, the Guest Tower Rooms, a suite of rooms in the romantically designed castle tower, can cater for up to 30 guests.

The wedding reception can also be held in the fairytale surrounds of Cardiff Castle, with the splendour of the rooftop gardens making an ideal venue for welcome drinks and the elaborately decorated Banqueting Hall being perfect for that medieval feel. Alternatively, the Undercroft provides an ideal space for parties and dancing for up to 100 guests.

Car parking space is only allowed for the wedding car, on the day, but being located in the city centre there is plenty of public parking nearby.

Accommodating your guests couldn’t be simpler, as there are a number of excellent hotels in the city, while just outside the centre, in the suburb of Canton, there is a wide range of guesthouses and family run hotels.

Getting to Cardiff is easy; you are within 10minutes of the M4 motorway or just a 5minute walk from Cardiff Central Railway Station, which provides links with London Paddington. Cardiff International Airport is in close proximity to the city and Cardiff Bay Marina is nearby, should you choose to arrive by yacht.
