Decorating your Outdoor Reception Area.

A beautiful courtyard lit by an array of candles can be a gorgeous vision. However, you need to take into account the British weather and ensure that whatever you have decorating your outdoor area will withstand inclement weather.
Candles are highly unlikely to continue burning when it is raining, and you would think that if there was a strong wind then you would automatically have to give up on them as well. There are however solutions to this weather problem: hurricane vases and lanterns. The reflective effect that the hurricane vases have will create more light and sparkle in your outdoor area whilst keeping the candle protected from the wind. Lanterns have a timeless quality to them, creating a gorgeous decoration, but also protecting your candles from a modest amount of rain as well as wind protectors. Vases and lanterns are often decorations in themselves, but if you don’t like them as they are then adding a ribbon or two can brighten them up immensely.
Work with what you have got, what may look like a gloomy outdoor area, may have delightful little nooks and crannies to place balloons, candles or flowers. If it is an evening reception then citronella candles will be a huge benefit for your guests, keeping the night time bugs away.
Incense sticks and fragrant candles can create a pleasant atmosphere. Watch out for scattering petals across the ground as they will bruise, lose their colour and turn brown and slippery very quickly. They may look stunningly beautiful to start with, but will become a hazard and an eyesore very quickly.
