Fantastic Place for the Kids: Disneyland

Every kid on Earth wants to go to Disneyland. Disneyland is an American amusement park located in Anaheim, California. It is owned and managed by the Walt Disney Parks and Resorts segment of The Walt Disney Company. Before the park was opened to the public on July 18, 1955, a press conference was held the day before. Then, Disneyland was the only theme park that was designed, built, opened, and managed by Walt Disney.

Since the park opened, it has been visited by over 515 million guests, including royalty, presidents, and other heads of nations. In 2007, more than 14.8 million people visited the park, making it the world’s second most visited park, next to the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.

Disneyland contains themed areas such as The Main Streets, U.S.A., which shows a Midwestern town during the early 20th century; Adventureland, with its jungle-themed adventures; Frontierland, illustrating the western frontier; Fantasyland, which lets the guests experience the world of fantasy; and Tomorrowland, which takes visitors into the future.

Aside from the beautiful themed areas, Disneyland also offers live entertainment all over the park. Kids can interact with various Disney characters that greet guests and pose for pictures. Another attraction is the fantastic fireworks display that everybody loves to see.

At present, there are other Disneyland parks in the world, including Disneyland Tokyo in Tokyo, Japan; Disneyland Paris in Paris, France; and Disneyland Hong Kong on Lantau Island in Hong Kong.
