Homeopathy Part 2

Continuation – How is homeopathy performed,
Homeopaths recommend following specific guidelines for maximizing effects
Remedies are recommended to be kept in dark and far from other objects.
Pillules are not to be handled instead to be placed directly under or onto tongue and should be dissolved.
Remedies need to consumed within 30 minutes after or before eating and no drink or food should be consumed at least for the next 10 minutes
Coffee, alcohol, peppermint, toothpaste, spices need to be avoided along with essential oils can have destroy effects of the remedy.
Homeopaths only recommend that any qualified homeopathic should be consulted for individual and specific diagnosis. Some remedies are also readily available with the pharmacists, supermarkets and healthy food stores.
Dosage
Many substances come together to make homeopathic remedies plants are inclusive and form 60% of homeopathic remedies other than plants, animal products and minerals are also used. These are commonly taken in form of pillules, but are available as ointments, creams, tinctures, granules and powders. Preparation involves crushing the substances like minerals, plants etc and dissolving in distilled water or /and alcohol. This solution is left for anything to stand up to many weeks; in between it will be shaken at equal intervals. The solution formed is called as mother tincture.
Mother tincture is shaken and diluted again. Dilutions of remedies are in part of 1 to 10 or part of 1 to 100. For example 6x potency can be produced by diluting of ten parts of dilution substance like water or alcohol to one part of mother tincture for six times. As per the requirement of the individual remedies differ in strength.
Homeopathy also claims that more the remedy gets diluted, it becomes stronger. In some cases remedies get diluted to an extent that not even a singe molecule remains like the way it was before. Science says that this substance cannot make any effect whereas homeopathy supporters claim that the remedy preserves the memory of the diluted substance within itself. Also shaking and diluting makes the remedy extremely effective, as vigorous shaking causes energy transfers to water and imprints memory of the substance into it. This is contradictory to knowledge from biochemistry and pharmacology, which states that medicine effects are a result of biochemical and physical activity in your body, more active ingredient present in the medicine, greater will be the effects.

Effectiveness of Homeopathy
About 200 random and controlled trials are conducted to evaluate homeopathy and many reviews of the trials are available. After detailed research it is still unclear whether homeopathy really works. Studies have also shown that effectiveness by homeopathy may be because of placebo effect, wherein receiving treatment can be more effective as compared to treatment itself. Many scientist and doctors do not accept homeopathy as it claims are not verified as per standards of scientific and modern medicine methods.
Homeopathic supporters counter argue claiming higher success rates in animals, infants and babies are noticed. Few other argue that treatments in homeopathy cannot be tested properly as per standard clinical way.
Homeopathy is most sought after complementary therapies in UK, despite lack of evidence clinically. NHS has five homeopathy hospitals in UK.
