Is Sex Painful,

Often, before you experience an event, you may become so wrapped up in your fears that you have made it scarier than what it is. You may have even heard stories from your friend about how painful sex can be. Read here to learn the truth about pain related to sex.

For a woman, the first time can be painful as the skin is broken. It is a brief and intense pain. It is also likely the only time you feel such pain during sex. There truly should be minimal, if any pain during sex. Some reasons for slight pain may be that the muscles are not stretched or the male may be large in respect to the size of the female.

Women are self-lubricating, so to speak. If the male does not engage in foreplay, chances are that she will not be moist and the friction of his penis in her vagina is going to tear at her vaginal walls and cause her pain, if not him as well. This is why it is important to engage in foreplay, or have lubricating aids available.

If pain is constantly present during sex, there might be an underlying medical problem and the woman should seek medical attention. In the meantime, she should refrain from any type of intercourse until the issue has been resolved. This will avoid aggravating any pre-existing health problems or creating new ones.
