Lighting for your reception room

Lighting for your reception may seem like a fairly insignificant thing. However, lighting is what creates the ambience and can give your event that “wow” factor that will have everyone talking about it and wishing they had thought of it for their own wedding.
Candlelight is romantic and dreamy and has that soft glow that softens even the harshest of features, warming the coolest of faces. It creates closeness and indicates a special occasion, something to be treasured and remembered, a time to surpass all others. The beauty of candlelight has been used for years. When one wants to create a seductive or romantic atmosphere, one almost always reaches for the candles and turns out the brilliant overhead lights. Candlelight also forgives a multitude of sins. As the evening draws to a close after a long exhausting day, make up may have faded, eyeliner may have streaked and the lipstick on lips will have worn off, but within the glow of candlelight the beauty still shines.
Words of warning regarding candles: candles are fantastic for shrinking the size of a room, which may be ideal if you have a great hall and only a few guests. But if you have a small room and it is nicely full, candlelight can cause it to appear cramped and because of the proximity of people and the heat given out from the candles, the room could get quite warm and sweaty very quickly. Check the burn time on your candles as well, otherwise your night could get a lot cosier a lot faster.
