Restaurants

Restaurants are a great venue for your reception, and can be incredibly affordable, especially if you find out all the costs for hiring it out before telling them it is for a wedding reception. One of the great aspects of using a restaurant as your reception venue is the ability to choose a theme. You may enjoy the quiet serenity of a Japanese restaurant, and some may have a Japanese garden available for serene moments. Italian restaurants are for a hearty boisterous atmosphere; a French restaurant for sophisticated elegance; and a restaurant featuring Australian food for a taste of Antipodeans delight. Typically, a restaurant will be a full meal sit down affair, so, if your budget is a bit tight, a buffet style may be a better idea.
Gardens
Oh the beauty of a garden party: trees laden with summer fruits, flowers in full bloom with the heady aroma of nature to tickle your senses. Not only can a garden be a stunning and beautiful backdrop for your reception, it can also be a very affordable option, whether you choose your own garden or hire a garden venue.
Be aware though, that you will need to ensure that you have enough parking for your guests. You may choose to have it catered or create the magic yourself, just don’t forget that at the end of the day someone will have to clean it all up. Sometimes wonderful relatives will chip in, but cleaning staff can go a long way to easing the hassle at the end of the day.
