Selecting wedding flowers

On your big day flowers are such an integral part of the whole day. Flowers can make such a huge difference to your whole wedding theme. It is imperative that the flowers you choose complement and enhance your chosen wedding theme. Choosing flowers can be very stressful as so much has to be considered – church flowers for traditional wedding, table decorations, flowers for bridesmaids and most importantly the bride’s bouquet. The traditional bouquet choice for a bride is white but these days many brides choose some coloured flowers.
When you go to choose your wedding flowers, take along some fabric form the bridal gown so you have an idea as to what will match and what will not. Don’t be misled when choosing white flowers as there are shades of white.
The most popular flowers a bride chooses for her bouquet are roses. Other popular choices include lilies, carnations and tulips. Bouquets vary in shape so the flowers that can be used will vary according to the shape of the bouquet. The cascade shaped bouquet is typically a large tear-shaped arrangement of flowers that spills down. The more common tightly bound cluster of smaller flowers is known as a nosegay arrangement. The simplest arrangement consists of a cluster of long stems tied together with a ribbon.
Once the flowers are selected you will know yourself whether the right choice has been made. As long as the flowers blend in well with your wedding theme they will look absolutely fabulous on your big day.
