The Creative Team of ‘Grumpy Old Women



In every success of any television show, from the story to the props, the creative team is the one responsible for all aspects of the show. ‘Grumpy Old Women’ is one of the very successful television shows that have been watched by many viewers. Listed below are the people behind the scenes who took charge in the aspects of script writing, directing and the like. The creative team includes Jenny Éclair, Judith Holder, Hannah Chissick, Chris George, Richard Herring, and Dora Schweitzer.

Jenny Éclair is one of the co-writers of the television show. She is also a comedian and has already hosted a show in BBC radio and has also contributed regularly to some shows.

Judith Holder is also one of the co-writers and the self-designated Head Girl to ‘Grumpy Old Women’.

Hannah Chissick is the director of the show. Ms Chissick studied Drama at the University of Hull. She also directed various shows including John Godber’s Perfect Pitch and David Hare’s The Blue Room.

Chris George co-directs with Chissick. Mr George was born in Leeds and graduated from the Drama department of Manchester University. Some of the shows that he has directed include ‘Grumpy Old Women Live’ (National Tour), ‘Penny’s Spubb’s Party’, ‘The Andy Warhol Syndrome’, ‘Manhattan Nights’ (National Tour) and many more.

Richard Herring is the Script Editor of the show, and he also edited the script of the multi-awarded series ‘Little Britain’ and also co-writes BBC’s programmes ‘Morning With Richard Not Judy’ and shows on BBC Radios 2.

Dora Schweitzer is the designer of the show. Ms Schweitzer was trained in theatre design after earning a degree in English Literature.
