The Orangery

Location: Margam Park, Port Talbot

One of the most sought after wedding venues in South Wales is Margam Parks’ Orangery. Licensed to hold marriage and civil partnerships the estate provides a unique place in which to hold your wedding day. The 18th century Orangery is the centre piece to over 1000 acres of parkland, woods, and ornamental gardens that will provide an ideal backdrop for the wedding photographs. Alongside the Orangery are the 12th century Tudor-Gothic style manor house and a classical, formal garden with sculpted fountains.

The Orangery’s function suite is a large hall, overlooking the splendour of Margam Parks gardens and is capable of holding up to 150 guests. The park has a team of specialists who are well versed in arranging such events and will be there to provide, advice and suggestions as well as help on the day. Some of the services the Orangery provides are: Red carpet, flower arrangements, linen and napkins, audio facilities and free car parking.

Margam Park is just off the M4 motorway halfway between Cardiff and Swansea, on the outskirts of Port Talbot. It is easily accessible from both cities and there is ample accommodation in either, as well as a number of family run guest houses and small hotels near Bridgend and Port Talbot itself. Access is easy by car. You turn off at junction 38, from where you follow the A48 to Margam. The South Wales train line also stops at Port Talbot railway station and it is only a few miles to Margam Park from there.
