A cool look at the Western genre in a more modern setting. Great suspenseful moments.

A good war and battle movie with an intellectual side.
8. Fantastic Four: The Rise of the Silver Surfer
A more action packed version of the first film. The special effects are increased and the pace continues to increase in this film.
7. Pirates of the Caribbean 3
This third instalment is scary and has more violence than the first two but remains a great movie overall.
6. Live Free or Die Hard
The latest instalment of the Die Hard series. This one takes on a current topic of internet and computer terrorism and how it could shut down the United States. It was fast, fun and made you think.
5. The Bourne Ultimatum
Stellar car chase scenes and thrilling intensity make this the best Bourne yet.
4. No Country For Old Men
Scary. These men are scary. They know how to use their guns and have no mercy.
3. Spiderman 3
The dark side of Spidey emerges and it’s fun to watch.
2. 300
The battle scenes are gruesome and hard to watch at times. An amazing movie filled with tons of graphical expertise.
1. Transformers
The robots come to the big screen. They are even cooler than they were in the cartoons and that makes it the best action film of the year.
