Location: Sleat, Isle of Skye IV45 8RS
On the wonderful Isle of Skye you will find the 18th century Armadale Castle Gardens and all it has to offer for a truly special wedding day you will never forget.
Armadale Castle Gardens hold a civil ceremony licence, and vows can be taken either outdoors at the Sculptured ruin, or indoors in the Somerled Room, which is fronted by expansive lawns. Here, wedding guests can enjoy champagne and canapés, whilst photographs are being taken against the stunning backdrop of the gardens.
The oak-panelled Stables restaurant can cater for up to 70 guests for a sit down wedding breakfast, with a maximum 120 guests for an informal buffet in the evening. Smaller wedding parties may prefer the Somerled Room, and for larger parties, a marquee can be erected in the grounds. The rooms are completely exclusive to the wedding party for a totally intimate feel.
The refurbished Stables Centre at Armadale Castle Gardens includes the luxurious Flora MacDonald suite, which is perfect accommodation for the bride and groom. Situated on the first floor of the centre, the suite enjoys panoramic views of the gardens and even has its own private balcony. For the wedding guests, there are 6 self-catering log cottages available, situated in a block within the grounds. All the cottages are spacious and furnished to very high standard; each cottage can accommodate up to 6 people. In addition, The Forresters Cottage, situated just outside the Castle Gardens, offers accommodation for a further six guests.
Armadale Castle Gardens offers all-year round wedding celebration packages, but guests should be aware that the ferry does not allow cars in the winter. However, the Stables Centre is only a short walk from the ferry terminal.
