Empire State Building

There are many places in New York where parents can take their children. They could visit Central Park, the Statue of Liberty, or Ellis Island. Another destination that offers fun activities for every family or individual is the Empire State Building, located at 350 5th Avenue, New York. The Empire State Building was one of the tallest buildings in the whole world and the second tallest in the US.

Empire State Building is a 102-storey building and the tallest structure in New York with a height of 1, 453 ft, or 443.2 m, and a weight of 365,000 tonnes. There are 365 windows and 73 elevators in the building. Its construction started on March 17, 1930, and opened on May 1, 1931 during the time of the Great Depression in the U.S.

Today, the Empire State Building is one of the most favourite destinations of families and tourists in New York. The building is not only the tallest building but also is a centre of fun activities for all people. There are observatories, such as the 86th floor Observatory and 102nd floor Observatory, where visitors can see the whole of New York and even the neighbouring states. The part of the building where children can have the most is the New York Skyride, an interactive virtual tour, which offers a realistic feeling of travelling to all major places or attractions in New York.

Tickets are available at the online ticket office or at the visitors centre, located in the building. For only $12 – $18 per person, one can enjoy the activities at the Empire State Building.
