Teen Holiday Destinations – Majorca

The island of Majorca entertains a vast number of teenagers throughout the year, especially around the early summer months. Like many of the resorts in the Mediterranean there is a wealth of accommodation to choose from, with self catering apartments and villas highly recommended for large groups of friends. If you plan to travel in a group, booking everyone together in a package deal will prove to be the cheapest option.

For nightlife, there is a vast number of night clubs and late bars that cater especially for a younger crowd. One of the most famous is the BCM Planet Dance which can hold up to 5,000 people every night and hosts some of the most well-known DJs from across the world. Other popular locations include Pacha’s, Banana Joe’s and Poco Loco.

Outside of the night time revelry, the sandy beaches along the coast are ideal for sunbathing and water sports. Jet skiing, surfing and banana boat riding are all on offer, while many bars and cafes can be found along the water front.

Dining out in Majorca will provide a wealth of choice. There is said to be over 2,400 different restaurants on the island. Seafood is a popular ingredient, as well as olives and almonds which are a staple of the local cuisine. It is believed there are over four million almond and olive trees on Majorca. Of course, more standard food can also be found and there is sure to be something to cater for everyone’s tastes.
