The Castle at Brecon

Location:- Brecon, Powys

Whether you are considering an intimate private wedding or a large grand affair, the Castle at Brecon can cater for all occasions. The Castle was built from the ruins of the castle that originally stood on the site and was primarily used as a coaching inn. After much modernisation and extensions it was transformed into a Regency Manor House complete with its own Ballroom.

The Castle has two rooms approved for holding wedding ceremonies. The Ballroom, with all its Regency elegancy and grace, caters for up to 150 guests or the Crug room for a cosier environment that holds up to 40 people. The south facing gardens, situated high above Brecon, offer an excellent location for those memorable wedding photos, while the Georgian and medieval parts of the building prove a brilliant backdrop for your interior pictures. Receptions can be held either in the smaller Morgan or Crug rooms or larger parties can make use of the Ballroom or the Castle Lounge.

There are 37 en-suite bedrooms all individually styled to reflect the many differing elements of the hotel. There are a range of executive, family and superior rooms to suit your taste. All rooms have lovely panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.

Located in rural Wales on the edge of the Breconshire National park, the castle can be found on the A479 between Cwmdu and Talgarth. Travelling from the south or the north you can take the A470, and if you are arriving from the Midlands, the A40 presents the best route.
