Situated in the village of St Ives, the Dolphin Hotel is a privately owned establishment on the banks of the River Ouse. There are 67 rooms, ranging from standard to the two four-poster bridal suites. All rooms have satellite TV and the Executive rooms have Internet access, while many also have views over the water meadows. Guests have access to the hotel’s fitness suite and sauna.
The hotel’s Waterside restaurant uses fresh local produce to create the traditional dishes on the menu. Couples planning their wedding have a variety of dishes to choose from for a seated wedding breakfast, while a hot carvery is also an option. There are several buffet menus to choose from for evening receptions and the hotel can cater for special dietary requirements.
Wedding ceremonies for up to 80 guests can be accommodated and receptions for up to 150 can be held in the self contained Meadow Suite. The Waterside restaurant is also available for functions and both suites open onto lawns that lead down to the river.
As part of the wedding package provided by the hotel, the bride and groom have complimentary accommodation on the wedding night and changing facilities can be made available for them on the morning of the wedding. Guests can take advantage of reduced accommodation rates and there are several drinks packages to choose from, which cover arrival drinks, wine with the meal and sparkling wine or champagne for the toast. The hotel can also assist with arranging external wedding services such as a photographer, flowers and car hire.
