Carmen Electra

Carmen Electra was born Tara Leigh Patrick on 20th April 1972 in Sharonville, Ohio, an American with an Irish, German and Cherokee ancestry. Her first professional job was as a dancer at a theme park, King’s Island, in Ohio. She relocated to California and changed her name to Carmen Electra on the advice of Prince, who also persuaded her to sign a recording contract with his company and record an album.

Carmen first appeared on television in 1995 and subsequent nude features in Playboy Magazine landed her higher profile roles such as in ‘Baywatch’ and ‘Singled Out’. She has been featured in Playboy five times and has appeared on the front cover three times.

Movie offers came in and Carmen has appeared in several movies including ‘American Vampire’, ‘Starsky and Hutch’ and ‘Cheaper by the Dozen 2’. Carmen has expanded her portfolio by starting a Naked Woman’s Wrestling League and acting as a commissioner for the sport, adding her brand to video games such as ‘Def Jam: Fight For New York’, a DVD combining striptease with a cardio workout and a lap dancing pole suitable for home use.

Carmen supports Head to Hollywood, a charity that offers support to brain tumour survivors, a personal cause as her mother died of a brain tumour when Carmen was sixteen. Her sister died of a heart attack the same year.

She has been married and divorced twice and is currently dating Rob Patterson.
