Robert Pattinson Gets Waxed

Teen girls around the world are one step closer to touching “Twilight” star Robert Pattinson. Well, his wax figure, anyway. Pattinson’s waxwork was unveiled recently at London’s Madame Tussauds and it captures the star’s tousled hair, scruffy face and squinty eyes perfectly. Museum organisers anticipate it will become one of their must-see figures, alongside Zac Efron and Johnny Depp. Madame Tussauds’ spokesperson Liz Edwards said, “Pattinson is one of the hottest celebs on the planet. We are delighted to be able to give them the chance to cosy up with their idol here at Madame Tussauds and judging by the reactions of the first to meet him here this morning he is set to top our “most kissed list of celebrities very quickly!”

Pattinson’s figure cost £150,000 and took four months to make. One girl who doesn’t have to pay for a ticket to get up close and personal with the actor is his “Twilight” co-star Kristen Stewart. The couple have been dating since first meeting on the set of the first film, but have only recently begun acknowledging their romantic relationship in public.

The next “Twilight” movie, “Eclipse,” comes out this summer, with the final chapter, “Breaking Dawn,” scheduled for release in 2011. Pattinson has just finished filming his current project, “Bel Ami,” co-starring Uma Thurman, Christina Ricci and Kristin Scott Thomas. He stars at journalist Georges Duroy and the film follows his corrupt rise to power in Paris.
